Dr. Richard Thai is board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. Through Nexus Medical Legal, he is available for QME and IME evaluations in Southern California.
He completed PM&R residency at UC Irvine, serving as Chief Resident, and a Pain Medicine fellowship at the VA Greater Los Angeles/UCLA program. His experience includes serving as Section Chief of Pain Management at VA Long Beach and an academic appointment at Charles Drew University.
His teaching and research include CRPS, interventional spine procedures, musculoskeletal medicine, and ultrasound-guided care. This experience informs his perspective on pain, rehabilitation, and functional recovery.
